This ceremony symbolized not only the transference of power from father to son, but also the transfer of memories.  In the modern world, we understand that much of our memories work as programs that are encoded in our DNA. However, many of us fail to understand that we have inherited all of our ancestors’ memories.  Of course, we don’t have access to all these memories. If we did, we would go crazy. Instead, many of these memories are filtered through programming, perceptions, and conditioning.  So instead of using 100 percent of the information that is stored in our body, we are using 15% to 20%

The power of initiations

We have all of our ancestors’ memories. However, little switches that turn them on and off control these memories or bits of code.  So when a person becomes initiated into a practice or religion, certain switches are turned on. This person then goes from using 20% brain capacity to almost 40% (As a result of the initiation, he becomes twice as strong). However, there is still one other factor that we haven’t incorporated into this concept. It is something that is called the multiplier effect. So if an initiated person decided to work with five other people who are also initiated, their power magnifies by almost 200% (Five people who are using almost 40% of their brain capacity). So when these people start to work together and cast spells. They are so much more powerful than the average Joe.

How can you work with this energy?

You have one or two choices. You can become initiated, or you can work with them by yourself. If you decide to become initiated, make sure that you pick someone who is interested in your spiritual growth (not their pocket). How to Cast a Love Spell Using the 4 Elements of Nature?

Can you imagine your love spells being ten times, or even a hundred times stronger? Can you imagine your love spells working quickly and accurately every single time? Does this sound way too good to be true? Well, I am about to make things much easier for you. I am going to tell you how you can cast powerful free love spells, using the 4 elements of nature.

Our ancestors worked with the 4 Elements of Nature.

I learned this while taking a shamanic drumming class in New York City some time ago. Our instructor ordered us to lie down and just let our minds go. This was when I began to see things; only the things that I saw didn’t make much sense. I saw mountains, animals, and images from the past, and people who may have been from the future. When I asked my instructor about the things that I saw, he explained that I wasn’t powerful yet. He said that I was seeing mountains because I was trying to draw the power/energy/strength of that mountain. That was my aha moment.

In my previous article, How to get a real psychic reading? I wrote about how everything in our universe already exists. I wrote that time is not linear. Rather, the past, present, and future are all happening at once. So what does this mean to you? It means that every problem has a solution. It means that every illness has a cure; one simply can’t exist without the other.  However, there is just one problem.  Since everything is already created, we have millions upon millions of probabilities. There are at least a hundred ways a love spell could go right, and thousands of ways it could go wrong.  So we have to use our intentions to increase the probability of a desirable outcome. However, most love spells don’t work because we are not strong enough to wield them.

You’ve got the power.

Emotions are also called energy in motion. Recent studies have found that people learn faster when their emotions are involved. People are also more productive when they’re passionate about a particular activity or subject.  In spell casting 101, you’ve learned that using your emotions and visualizing the outcome is very important. However, I am going to give you an advance class and tell you that your emotions alone won’t be enough to cast a love spell.  You’re going to need reinforcements.  This is when you’re going to have to pull the energy from the universe. So what does this mean? It means that you’re aligning with the universe and pulling the energy from the 4 elements of nature. By doing this, you are ten times, even a hundred times stronger. This will increase the chances of you getting a better outcome.

Setting up your altar using the 4 elements of nature.

Fire:

A candle can be used to represent the element of fire.  Fire represents the life force that is burning inside of all of us.  The first thing that you should do when you go to your altar is light the candle.  By doing this, you are igniting the spark and allowing the energy to flow.

Air:

You can use flowers. We put flowers and plants on our altars, because they give us oxygen.  Always be sure to put fresh flowers on your altar. There are some people who believe that you should let the flowers die on the altar. You need to be very careful when you do this.  The element of earth represents depression and vitality. So you need to be very clear when placing these flowers at the altar. It is important to set your intentions on healing when the flowers are fresh. Then, focus on releasing any pain from past relationships (love spells are about healing).  Then, the dying flowers represent the destruction or elimination of the pain that caused your previous relationships to fail. Now, if you’re heart broken, or love sick, work with the flowers first. Then, once you’ve healed, you can start placing the other elements on your altar.

Water:

You can put a glass of water, or a full vase on your altar. The element of water represents purity and the emotions of sadness and joy. In my previous article, how to cast a love spell that really works, I talked about the power of negative emotions. I wrote that if you’re feeling lonely, distressed, heartbroken, or incomplete, it is probably best to NOT cast a love spell.  The negative energy inside of you will spill over and contaminate the energy and the spell. It is best to heal first, work to increase your energetic vibrations and then move forward. Always use fresh water. Also, be sure to think happy thoughts while you’re pouring the water into the glass or vase.

Earth

You can use stones or small rocks that you’ve gathered from outside. Every stone has it’s own element and vibrates at its own frequency. However, for simplicity purposes, we are just going to gather stones from the ground outside. The earth element represents depression and vitality. Placing the stone on your altar will allow the energy to work faster, because you will be using the forces of gravity to draw the love to you. However, be very careful with this energy. Be sure to balance this energy with air and water, so the energy doesn’t degrade too quickly and turn negative.

He doesn’t care for me anymore. He used to be so romantic. He used to have eyes only for me. I know that every relationship goes through tough times, and it may be difficult to get the spark back, once the freshness of a relationship has faded away. However, there is a solution that will help any couple get through the rough patches of life. The Orisha Oshun ritual that I describe in this article will get the energy and love back into your relationship in no time.

Oshun and Chango

I had the honor of facilitating a wedding in Jamaica last year. I love to see two couples find love for a second time. I also tell people that it is easy to love, when you’re young and stupid. Life, hadn’t thrown you a bunch of curve balls, and you’ve haven’t been stung with hurt, betrayal, rejection, and a broken heart. So, it is very difficult to open your heart again, especially when virtually all of your previous experiences about love have been hurtful. When women open up to me about their past relationships, I like to tell them the story about Oshun and Chango.

Chango is an Orisha in the Yoruba pantheon. However, before he became a god. He was a very powerful man. Chango was the king of the great African City Oya.  He was cruel, gregarious, conniving, and a womanizer. He was a man who had everything, except love. So the beautiful Oshun comes into his life. Chango, being Chango believes that she will be another one of his conquest. He mistakenly believed that he would be able to easily seduce her, and toss her aside, as he did with other women. Oshun was beautiful. She was tall and shapely. She dressed in yellow, wore sweet perfume, jewelry and a beautiful crown of peacock feathers. Chango fell under Oshun’s spell and within a matter of days, he was head over heels in love with her. Once he experienced the love that he got from Oshun, he realized that he didn’t need anything else. He didn’t need the riches. He didn’t need the women. He didn’t need the power that he felt when he conquered distant lands. All he needed was the love that he felt from the beautiful Oshun.

So in the end, it was Oshun who helped Chango, a mere man, become a God. She released him from the constant pursuit of earthly pleasures, and propelled him to a rank of higher consciousness. A mere woman, would never be able to control, or inspire a powerful man like Chango. However, a goddess has the power to transform him into a godlike being. This is the story that I like to tell women, when they complain that their relationship is getting stale. It is then, that I have to ask them, what are you doing to inspire him? What are you doing to bring him into a higher level of consciousness?  So if you’re relationship is getting stale, maybe it is time for you to take things to the next level.

Love must grow or die

Relationships tend to get a little bit stale after people are married. The routine sets in, and the relationship becomes more of a habit than anything else. So what happens? We become complacent. Complacency makes us do what’s easy, when the real work comes with doing what is hard. In many cases, people get divorced or separated when in truth; their marriage just needs a jumpstart. Couples can get the ball rolling again with the Orisha Oshun ritual that I written below:

Understanding the importance of sexual energy.

I get a lot of complaints from women who say that they are simply not in the mood. Or they complain that sex has become bland and mechanical. You can search a million webpages and find all kinds of ways to get the sexual spark back in your relationship. However, I am here to tell you that most of the information is bullshit. Sex, isn’t about positions, toys, or even watching porno. The act of sex stems from the flow of sexual energy. If you’re horny, your sexual energy is flowing well. If you’re not in the mood, you probably have some blockages in your sexual chakra. The biggest problem that women have is that they’re giving away too much of their energy. They’re giving energy to their children, their jobs, and their communities. So when they get home, they have very little energy left for their husbands. This is a problem, especially since couples need for this energy to flow, in order to sustain a loving relationship.

It is important to understand that sex and love are on the same continuum.

Sexual energy is actually a lower vibration than love.  However, it is our job as women to increase the energetic frequency of sexual energy, so that it becomes love. So it is really about moving the energy from the 2^nd chakra, to the 3^rd and then through the 4^th.  The first thing that you have to do is practice this by yourself. I know, it might feel a little awkward. However, the more you do it the better you’ll get. You can start by imagining a ball of light, and then visualize the ball of light rising up through the lower chakras. At first, you won’t feel anything. However, over time, you will start to see and feel this energy working.

Dedicate your altar to Oshun

Oshun loves beautiful altars. So be sure to place flowers (expensive roses) honey, jewelry, and tea at her altar. She likes anything that is sweet, and will take virtually any offering as long as you come to her with love.  You can also work with spiritual practitioners, priest and priestess who are well versed and specialized in these types of energies. However, you can start with the altar and then go from there. Once you’ve done these rituals, you will start to feel a bit frisky. This practice along with these rituals will make sex ten times more passionate, ten times more intense. Then, after intercourse, focus on moving the energy up to the heart chakra. You must first, master this process yourself. Once you’re able to control the energy inside of your own body, you will be able to help your husband/significant other do the same.

How to overcome a negative self image?

I’ve seen the pictures of Lil Kim posted all over Facebook. Facebook being Facebook comes equipped with a whole bunch of trolls that commented that Lil Kim looked white. Lil Kim has been battling with her self-image for decades, changing her face as frequently as the seasons. She’s also suffered from a tumultuous past and has been involved in many abusive relationships. In this article, I am going to talk about how society creates these negative self-images, and what we can do as women, to stop it.

Minorities tend to have a disadvantage when it comes to beauty.

Virtually all cultures suffer from some form of colorism. People were upset when Nina Davuluri won Miss. America. People from her own culture and race believed that she was too dark to be beautiful. People have said the same thing about Danai Gurira, the co-star and leading lady on the AMC hit television show “The Walking Dead.” Not to mention the fact that there is a great deal of Asian women who are discriminated against because of their darkened, yellow skin.  Of course, there are people like Sammy Sosa and Michael Jackson who have been accused of bleaching their skin. The politics of beauty is not only reserved to colorism. It also branches into body image. For example, people were outraged when plus size model Ashley Graham graced the covers of Sports Illustrated.

Many people fail to understand that the standard of beauty is strictly political. For decades, Caucasian men have determined who is beautiful and who is not.  Hollywood produced white leading ladies such as Sophia Loren, Marylyn Monroe, and Elizabeth Taylor, just to name a few. Later, light skin black women and Latinas were added into this mix. However, the standard of beauty shifted with the Internet. The Internet gave people a voice, and for the first time, communication wasn’t one sided. Hollywood was no longer telling us what beauty was, we were telling them. Sadly, the damage had already been done.

Hollywood not only influences our belief system, but also how we view the world. Furthermore, Hollywood creates an ideal sense of beauty that is unattainable. So whenever we look at ourselves, we subconsciously compare ourselves to the beautiful dames on television. We know that we can’t measure up, so we spend a great deal of time feeling sorry for ourselves. This leads women to have a sense of low self-confidence and self-esteem. Many women like Lil Kim, may gravitate to abusive men and suffer from unstable and dysfunctional relationships.

Is Hollywood fully responsible for women having a negative self-image?

Of course not.  In the end, we all have to take responsibility for our lives and how we feel about ourselves. However, it would be nice to see more women who look like us on television. We are starting to see a variety of women, with different shapes and body types.

So what can women do to overcome a negative self-image?

The first thing that we have to understand is that Hollywood isn’t real. It consists of a bunch of fictional characters that are probably miserable in real life.  Just think of Hollywood people as the machines in the Matrix. They have taken over the world and want to suck on your energy. We simply need to wake up, and take responsibility for our own minds and thoughts. So, how do you differentiate your thoughts, from one that is a program? Well, if your thoughts make you miserable. It is probably a program. Just remember, society gets off on making you feel bad about yourself. They need you to feel like shit, because that’s how they make their money.

So what can we do about the whole Lil Kim situation?

There is nothing that we can do for her. We simply need to help ourselves.  We can start by stop giving these people power over us. They have NO right to determine who is beautiful and who is not. We have to define our own beauty, live up to our own standards. Hollywood needs to reflect the visions of the society as a whole, and not just a select few. The Dove campaign as well as the body diverse Barbie are two trends that are shaping how beauty is represented in our country. So it is up to us to keep Hollywood on track.
