He wanted to marry a mortal, so that he could have eternal life. Beetle Juice, like many bad spirits resulted to trickery and manipulation. In fact, there was nothing that he wouldn’t do to get what he wanted. So what’s the moral of this story?  Don’t confuse demons and devils with higher, enlightened spirits. Demons and devils have an agenda. They don’t really want to help you, but they will pretend that they do. In the end, the will take whatever they can, leaving in you in a desperate position. A good rule of thumb is to always be weary about the spirits that come to you. The best spirits are the ones that you need to contact all by yourself.

How to do summoning rituals?

I’ve seen a great deal of people use summoning rituals, and yes, they are able to attract spirits. However, when they do these rituals, they open the floodgates, and every spirit name Tom, Dick, and Harry flies in. Remember, spirit work is not about quantity, it is about quality. With that said, it is important to understand that if you start to work with spirits that are weaker than you, those spirits will drain you of your power/personal energy/ ashe/Chi. This is why you need to do the work and summon the spirits that work on higher planes of consciousness. Just think about these spirits as the gatekeeper. They are the people who have to impress before you can work with any of the big dogs, or the real people who have connections. These spirit gatekeepers include:

Exu: Offerings include: tobacco products, sugarcane, honey, and flavored rum.

Hecate: Offerings include: eggs, garlic, pastries, candles, and incense.

Hermes: Offerings include: cakes, honey, olives, goat or sheep, cheese, wine, and incense.

So then, you’re able to approach these spirits like the Godfather. They will require you to kiss their ring (make appropriate offerings) and then tell them what you need them to do. Once you do this, they determine if they want to help or not. If they decide to help you, they will begin to point in the right direction, by introducing you to other powerful spirits that can help you in your endeavors. It is important to keep in mind, that these gatekeepers are incredibly powerful. They can see the future, and know the ending before the beginning. So they will only match you up with the spirits that you are most compatible with.

Calling spirits

In ancient Egypt, it was believed that every spirit possessed its own characteristic scent. The ancient Egyptians would then use powerful fragrances such as gardenia, frankincense, and sandalwood to summon powerful benevolent spirits. They would in turn use foul smelling fragrances to summon malicious, destructive, and mean spirits. You can start to focus on summing these spirits by calling out the keepers of the crossroad. You can do this by implementing the following spell.
